One strategy that I used back in the 28k modem days has been helping with byoac lately.  When I open a topic from the main page, I use a new tab.  Right when it loads, I open up 2 or 3 more tabs each with a separate thread I am going to check out.  That way, the other tabs load while I go through the first thread.  Once you have a few tabs going, there isn't much loading time.

No, no, no.  It has nothing to do with the server.  It's the settings:  The "---uvula---" filter is enabled, which makes it load slow for anyone fitting in that category.

Mine seems very fast, by the way.  Almost instant when I click on stuff.  Weird.   :laugh2:

Considering as he's the universally reviled moderator, I'm also surprised he thinks he is exempt from the ---uvula--- filter.
