Joystick Parts
« on: May 20, 2016, 11:51:18 pm »
Hi Everyone,

maybe an easy question for anyone, can someone tell me, besides the spring and the Black plastic " thing " not shown on this image, is there anything  I'm  missing?

for some reason, I have not been able to put together this joystick, this is actually the first time I use this type of Joystick, I normally use the American Joysticks or the Zippy, but this one is giving me a hard time, it almost seems like I'm missing a part, the spring and plastic thing is not enough, after putting the  metal ring that goes on the bottom, it still seems very loose.

unfortunately I cant find any diagram or even better, a video of the pieces that go with this joystick and how they go.

any info will be appreciated.

thanks.

Slagcoin.com has some breakdowns of various sticks -- yours looks like the JLW (link to page - http://www.slagcoin.com/joystick/attributes_brands.html )

Correction:

you are correct, I think that is the type of joystick I have. problem is, not sure if I'm supposed to to have the washer, and where would it go? I'll keep researching.

Thanks for the info,

is not exactly like the one I have but I'll keep looking. I purchased this joystick long ago, because of time, I wasn't able to install it right away and left it on my workbench, I think one of those small parts might've gotten lost and now I'm going " loco " trying to put this thing together. thanks again :)

Man! that looks so simple, that's exactly how I'm putting it together, is the spring I have not long enough and is this the reason why it seems so loose? or am I missing something on the other end of the joystick! I'm going to remove joystick form the cabinet and give it another try.

thanks again, great video.

Here's a good thread by chance that details it well ( http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=135288.0 )

That helps, I think I'm missing one of those black plastic things.  Thanks again for your help, so much clear now after seeing those images.
