Need help building Arcade Controller BOX
« on: May 12, 2016, 07:30:06 pm »
I would like to build a similar controller box to the one in the pictures. I live in Canada. I'm looking for the best place online to buy all the pieces except the Pandora's Box. Maybe if someone can post me a list of what I need to buy. Allso wondering if it is possible to change the VGA plug in to a HDMI plug in. Any help or suggestions would be great. I am a real rookie so this will be my first attempt at something like this. Thanks

You'd need a separate converter for the VGA to HDMI, I think they are about $30 off Amazon.

Very true.

Friends warn friends about possible crotch-sticks, Joynicorns, and face-covering buttons.   ;D

Can anyone tell me what the blue button is for? I tried zooming in but can't read what it says.

Shipping something from the U.S. to Canada for repair/exchange?  Please use USPS to avoid (additional?/excessive?) shipping charges.  PM me if you have any questions.

I'd not bother with the Pandora's box 4.  I have a PB3, and the only difference is a handful of extra games.  Save the cash and get a PB3 unless one of the few added games is a must have for you.

Thank you. Like I said I am new to all this and I appreciate the help. Could you tell me if my list looks ok before I go and order my parts?

Yeah, it looks fine.  Keep in mind though that a lot of JAMMA harnesses don't have the wires for buttons 4, 5, 6.  Make sure the one you order is fully stuffed.  You also may just want to grab a kit.  I just bought this one from Twisted Quarter.  Great communication, fast shipping.

You can choose button and stick colors.
