Control Panel Stencil
« on: April 19, 2016, 03:50:17 pm »
If this is posted in the wrong place, please move it.

I am looking for a stencil to place my arcade controls on my Stargate.  Before I get the artwork I want to make sure the CP is correct in size.  This CP was not converted, and it looks like it was made at the Williams factory as it has a stamp with 1982 on it.  But I want to make it into a Williams Multi.

Does such a stencil exist, and where can I download it to map out all the controls?

Many thanks

Keep the current panel original so you can faithfully play defender and stargate with the proper controls. Hack up another panel for doing that awful multiwilliams set up.

good day.

slagcoin.com has several panel layouts -- http://www.slagcoin.com/joystick/layout.html

I'm gonna agree with Chopper.  Build a new panel and keep the original.  Hacking up a piece of history like that is bad ju-ju.

I have a stargate panel that was converted to ninja gaiden. Perfect candidate for mw.

They do have the Multi Williams CPO in vector - HERE ( http://vectorlib.free.fr/MultiWilliams/#MW_CPO ) that might be useful in creating the layout.

Thank you.

The panel is made of wood and looks like it came from the factory as it was already converted to play WWF.  I wonder if there were blank CP panels for operators to do exactly this and convert the game to something else without having to bondo everything.  I'll get some pictures of it up so you will know what I mean (I would never hack up an original Stargate CP) but I had a car accident yesterday and I cannot move very well, so my project is on the back burner. Typical.

Thanks for the replies.
