X arcade tankstick modification...help please!
« on: April 04, 2016, 09:56:24 pm »
So I took it upon myself to attempt upgrading my tankstick with Sanwa JLF joysticks and Sanwa buttons. So far, a pain in the ass for sure  :dunno.

Can someone first off help me understand how to install the JLF?
Here I have the stock stick removed and the JLF resting in its place. I have noticed on others info pages such as this one (http://dsync.blogspot.com/2015/08/my-complete-illustrated-experience-to.html) that they use a mounting plate. Can I not just route out some of that wood so that it is flush and directly mount it there by making four new holes??

Also, the wiring is completely different. Are there any resources out there to help me understand how to re wire to this harness that plugs into the JLF? https://goo.gl/photos/iU3WHRmsBNbXbvaG8

Thanks in advance, a bit in over my head at the moment, but excited to learn something.....
