Rowe CD 100 Jukebox Questions

After getting several of these working and trying to learn the ropes on The Rowe/AMI various model cd jukeboxes, I purchased 10 of them last weekend that were sitting in a warehouse collecting dust. They are various models such as an A, C, E's, MM's, H, etc. I'm going back after another truckload and plan on refurbishing them and painting them to various college football teams colors to sell to guys with man caves. All of these units have the CD Pro players installed, unfortunately I find that some of the players do not work. I am wanting to rebuild them myself as I have a background in electronics and have a pretty good idea of how they work but my question is, will the cdm 12 work on the pro players and if not, how do I determine which player is installed? I have two that the motors do not work on as well. Is there a source for these somewhere? I know I can send them off to be rebuilt but would like to learn to do it myself. I would also like to know if there is a way to mount an external battery on the CCC's. I've been toying with the idea of soldering a jumper to an external battery and wonder if anyone has tried that? I'm from SC, USA. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

CDPRO players are based on the CDM12 technology. So, the CDPRO is similar to the CDM12 Industrial, but with newer modifications. Same as the CDPRO2. You can rebuild these players, but the OPU is different on the CDPRO1 and CDPRO2. If you want, send me a message and  I can help you identify them and possibly assist in rebuild.

Thanks! I just got into one and had a couple of new cdm12 players I purchased and noticed that mine have two ribbons while the one's I purchased have a ribbon and a cable. The cable obviously will not work. The card on mine says CDM12_91 Mod I 99/23. So, I'm starting to see why people send them off as it's confusing. I may have to outsource getting these done after all. Thanks Much! Clyde

10 of them? I'm near to tears when reading those lines.
For me in germany it's hard to find at least one. That must be a real jukebox paradise in the US as well as in the UK.

Hi Phil,

In the USA jukebox parts are as cheap as chips and as you say plentyful, not so in the UK or in your case Germany.

Let me know which loom you need and I will see what I have available.

yes, but i guess the situation in UK is on grounds of history much better than in middle europe/germany.
cd100 jukeboxes are effectively non-existent here. i searched for a quarter year and got null results in germany.
in opposite, the variety in vinyl jukeboxes is relatively plentyful.

Thanks but I gave up rebuilding the CD Pros and found someone in Florida who's going to take care of that for me. I just acquired even 10 more of the Rowe/AMI CD jukes and lots of spare parts since my first post here. I will have much to do very soon! I personally think they sound better than the 45 boxes and are certainly more affordable and easier to find parts for. Looking forward to making a sideline business of refurbishing them. I believe the popularity of them will pick up sooner than later myself. Thanks!
