Will this fit on my cabinet?
« on: January 15, 2004, 11:40:09 am »
I've got a Taito cabinet that used to be a Jungle King.

I just found this on eBay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3265999073&category=13718

Does anyone know if this will fit?  Mine is missing everything, and I had thought about getting it working again.

I 've used this cabinet before, that looks exactly like the panel you need, the wood underneath with the mounting clamps gave it away.

To be sure email the guy, if it is 23" wide it is the one you need.

It certainly looks like the correct cp for a standard 80s' Taito cabinet ie. Frontline,Zookeeper,Jungle King,Qix,Tin Star ect..  The first thing that gave it away for me was the placement of the player one and two buttons. I would e-mail the seller or PM. Paige Oliver and let him have a look/see but it looks to me like you found a match.

Well, by the time I remembered it, the auction was over.  I emailed him to ask what he'd let it go for, and he said $28 shipped.  That's quite a bit over the $19 I was hoping to get it for.  I'll just wait until he relists it.

How can he relist it if he already sold it to someone for $28?

He hasn't relisted it yet, and it didn't sell on eBay.  I emailed him to ask what he would let it go for.

Nah...it's not a pressing project.  In fact, its really not a project at all.  The cab has heavy water damage.  The only reason I took it at all was because I wanted the coin door off it, and it was one of those 'all or nothing' deals.

I haven't taken a real good look at the cabinet for nearly two years.  It's at my mothers, about 45 minutes away.  When I'm there I'm talking to her, not doing stuff with the cab.  It's made out of MDF, and we all know what happens when you get that stuff wet.

It would be kinda nice for a beater project, but it's not somethign I would put more than say $100 into.
