How to fit the E-clip washer on the bottom of a joystick
« on: March 30, 2016, 04:01:48 am »
I'm currently building my first control panel. I have the Happ Super joystick. I understand that the shaft of the stick goes in the hole in the bottom box and then you need to place the metal E-clip over the end of the shaft to keep it in place. What I can't work out is how to do this! I seem able to push the actuator up a bit so I can just get the E-clip in place but I'm worried the micro switches will get damaged. Do they need to be removed before you put the washer on?

Sorry for what is probably a stupid question.

Thanks

Welcome aboard, Topogram.   ;D

No need to remove the microswitches when installing the E-clip.

Hold the handle in place while pushing on the actuator to install the clip as shown from 17:03-17:28 and 18:26-18:36 in this video.
