Black Start Buttons
« on: January 15, 2004, 07:38:56 am »
Has anyone recieved their black start buttons from peale yet?  I ask because I was wondering about the quality of them, are they pretty comparible to the white ones you'd find elsewhere?

I suppose it might be good to know also if Peale plans on getting more/ has extras?
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

I posted this info in the Black Start Button sticky, but I'll post it here as well.  The manufacturer has told me that production was underway, and that I should see results somewhere between the 9th and the 15th, and should have them in hand no later than say...the 21st.

The buttons are exactly like their white counterparts, they just have the colors reversed.  This is due to being made by the same blokes that make the white ones.

As for extras, I will have a very limited supply of extras.  99% of them have been spoken for, mostly n00bs to the board who saw the post after the cut-off date.

As for getting more, I suppose it depends on how popular this run is.  There were thousands and thousands of page views, but only just over 150 buttons 'ordered'.  I chalk that up to not having a 'prescence' on the 'net, or a rep like Bob Roberts.  The perils and pitfalls of trying to do any business on the web.
