T-Stick replacement stick & fusion paint question
« on: January 15, 2004, 06:19:38 am »
I like the T-Stick, it's an ingenius design.  That said, I want T-Sticks, just not in the standard blue, black, red though, what I want actually is orange and green.  Are the  sticks themselves physically the same as any replacements I might find out there?

If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

After an extensive search (realy only a few minutes), I haven't even been able to find orange bat-style joysticks, so if anyone knows where to find any I suppose that would be a good first step in finding ones that will fit the T-Stick.

Doubtful.

Your best best might be to get some fusion paint and spray the handles.

OSCAR did this to get a green handle for his bartop MAME.  There's a thread on here somewhere about it, or you could E-mail him.

I replaced my Tstick handle with a wico balltop shaft. The difference in diameter was very small(the balltop was a bit thinner), so if I was gonna leave it like that it jsut take a strip of material to bulk it up and stop it from spinning. Maybe 1-2 strips of paper, or a thick foil, not much at all

Has anyone here used fusion paint, does it work well, how will it hold up to being gripped potentially pretty roughly?
Also, are their colors that match orange and green arcade buttons?

Is Fusion paint the same as sprayable vinyl dye? Its found mainly in automotive applicataions, but instead of just covering, it bonds with the plastic and holds up a lot better than regular spray

A lot of pc modders recommend this for small parts like CDrom eject buttons and drive bezels
