Help Finding Bat Tops
« on: March 14, 2016, 05:23:01 pm »
For the life of me, I cannot find a place to just buy the bat tops for a joystick.

I have a TMNT 4 Player that I'm doing some updating too.  It's not all original right now, so I'm not butchering anything.  In fact, I think it's an old NBA JAM cabinet.  Anyway, I'm wanting to change the tops of each joystick to match the Turtle you're controlling.  I'm having trouble finding somewhere that sells blue, orange, purple, and red bat tops for the existing joysticks.  It'd be nice if they sold matching buttons too.

Can anyone here help me out?  I just need somewhere that sells these.

bat tops for a joystick
It might help if you mention what type of stick. (Happ Competition?)

TMNT is supposed to have balltops.

You will do better financially just selling your existing sticks and buying the colors you need than you will buying 4 replacement bats from Happ. Also, TMNT actually had balltops so consider those.

I'm pretty sure I have 4 complete sticks with those color bat tops that were pulled from an original beater TMNT cab that I based my Mame cab on.  I pulled them back in 2002.

Perhaps there were some versions of the original game that came with bats?

Anyway.. Turf, if you are interested in mine I'll find them and get back to you.. let me know.

No idea what type.  The sticks that are in it are bat top, but they're all black.

I was hoping there was a place that I could just just buy the tops and not the whole joystick.  If I do have to buy the whole stick, I'll just keep the sticks I have for spare parts.

I'm very interested.  Shoot me a PM if you find them.  I'd love that.

Found them, but unfortunately they are not the colors you need.  Yellow one is in rough shape too.  The old TMNT cab I started with was a real beater, these must have been replacements an arcade op put on at some point.

Sorry for getting your hopes up.

If you don't know what sticks you have, don't bother trying to source new handles. You're in for a world of disappointment.

What Paige says.

If you are set on appropriate colours (and you should be) and don't want to hold out to get a nice set of Wicos (don't hold your breath), jump over to Twisted Quarter and pick up some ball sticks and matching buttons:

Or just buy new happ comps.  They're like $10 a pop.

This. Plus they're available in the colors the OP needs: http://www.paradisearcadeshop.com/502-levers-il-industrias-lorenzo
