I had that dilemma too. How to wire a button to turn on the PC from the cab. Then you would also have to figure out how to power on the cab. You can solve that many ways (master switched power strip, external button, etc) . But I thought, why not just power on the PC when the cab is powered on?
I am powering the PC when I power on the cab. Then when I power off the PC through the front end, confirm that Windows is shut down, I switch off the cab. Then the cycle repeats. I feel this is easier. One less hole to drill in the cab somewhere. I started a thread on it here:
