>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Forza Motorsport 6: Apex features trademark Forza innovations such as Drivatar™ opponents and a hand-picked selection of 63 fully functioning Forzavista™-enabled cars, each with working cockpits and full damage.

With bleeding edge race cars like the 2014 Audi #2 Audi Team Joest R18 e-tron quattro, modern masterpieces like the 2017 Ford GT, and classic American Muscle like the 1973 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am SD-455, the cars in Forza Motorsport 6: Apex represent the far-reaching diversity that is part of Forza’s DNA.

Players can race those cars on 20 exciting track configurations across six locations – Brands Hatch, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Rio de Janeiro, Sebring International Raceway, Top Gear and Yas Marina – including night and wet-weather variants.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

New Showcase Tour, Objective System and Spotlight Series
Designed for players who are new to the Forza franchise, Forza Motorsport 6: Apex delivers a curated experience, featuring authentic wheel-to-wheel action, unique automotive content and constant rewards. The career mode is anchored by a new 12-event “Showcase Tour,” which introduces players to fascinating cars and unique automotive match-ups through a series of beautifully crafted and entertaining videos, narrated by automotive celebrities such as James May and Richard Hammond.

Forza Motorsport 6: Apex features a new objective and scoring system, which challenges the player to grow their skill and compare scores with their friends, and each event is a completely unique experience with unending replay value.

In addition, a new “Spotlight Series” will feature new Showcase-style events that will be updated on a regular basis. Whether you’re barreling around rainy Brands Hatch in your all-wheel-drive street weapon of choice or chasing down The Stig from “Top Gear” in cockpit view, there are always new and fun challenges to explore.

Still not sure if I want to upgrade to Windows 10 even if I can now play a Forza game. We'll see how it turns out.

I am running Windows 10 on a few machines now without issue. I will be looking forward to Forza in Windows.

Available for free in the Windows Store this spring, Forza Motorsport 6: Apex paves the way for future Forza experiences on Windows 10

Huh? So is this a demo version or something. Or maybe they make money some other way?

I've been rejecting the "upgrade" notices and kept my desktop at 7.
(I deleted and hid the updates that contained them so windows would quit bugging me, but apparently Microsoft is having a round 2)

The PC will probably be used in my driving cab when I set one back up.
This and Hydro Thunder Hurricane have me reconsidering switching to 10.

EDIT: Oh I didn't catch the free part for Forza.  Nothing is ever really free.  It will probably be free to play, pay to win.

I'm like you guys. Unless they turn this into a full blown carbon copy of Forza 6 with full FFB wheel support, then I'll gladly stick with my trusty win7. The windows store is atrocious from what I've read. All games run in windowed mode and there's no option to run them in exclusive fullscreen. That means forced V-sync, no SLI, no overlays of any kind, no sweetFX support, no modding of any kind(sorry Howard). It's a ---smurfing--- joke.

Funny you mention the windows store.  When I try to run Fuel on my new win10 machine, I get a message that Windows10 does not support  games for Windows live. This is even purchased and launched through steam. I haven't searched for solutions yet.  Something to keep in mind if Microsoft is going to render your games purchased from them useless in the future. It's not like I'm trying to run a Windows 95 game.

You heard wrong.  The windows store is just a store, it doesn't effect games.  If a game isn't fullscreen it's the developers fault.  Many of the games on there are ported mobile games, so the reason they don't play fullscreen is because that was never an option originally.  I'm not sure what the windows store has to do with windows 10 anyway... it was introduced in win 8.  Just buy the games on steam if you don't like it.

Things have been popping up on my xbox one.  It seems that windows 10 will be their official development platform and any game published by Microsoft is going to be made for 10 from now on.  As a matter of fact it appears that for some games in you buy the 10 copy you get the xb1 copy and vice-versa.

You heard right.  Seems it could be an inherent limitation of the way UWP apps work.

I'm also on Windows 7 and although I would like to play Forza, I'm not being pushed by Microsoft onto an OS I don't like or trust, just for that.

Yeah, I'm having some growing pains with the Win10 box I'm setting up for the living room.
It's basically a gaming console, so I didn't want it linked with my Microsoft account or accessing my email or anything like that.
So on the initial setup and update from 8.1 to 10, I chose the option to not use a Microsoft account to log in and no password required.

The first time I wanted to download an app, I had to put in my Microsoft account info.
The next time I turn the computer on I'm suddenly required to use my Microsoft account password to log onto the computer and it's automatically connecting to my email, calendar, etc.

Undid the change, but I assume it's going to change back every damn time I install an app from the app store.

Also UAC seems out of control again like it was in Vista.  I get the popup every time Steam is launched even though I have it set to run as administrator.
Apparently if you move the steam folder out of the programs folder it will stop hassling me, but I've already installed 100GB worth of games.

There is little to no reason to stay on Windows 7 at this point.

Assuming your hardware is compatible with Windows 10 (If you have a nvidia GTX 460, don't upgrade) - there is no reason not to upgrade.  I'm running it on my "main" PC, my MAME cabinet, my Driving cabinet, and my old crappy laptop that came with Windows Vista originally (lol).  (Core i5 PCs, Core2Duo, and an AMD something in the laptop)

Other than certain config screens being moved around (again), its been great.  Zero issues.

I'm really curious if the Forza 6 Apex XBox One --> Windows 10 port will work with my TH300RS wheel - which is PC/PS3/PS4 compatible.  Not Xbox One.  (the TX is the Xbox one wheel).

Kind of like how many games require XInput game pads now...  the Direct Input ones aren't recognized.

I take it you don't work IT in an enterprise environment.
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

Do you have steam installed in the programs folder?  If so, why might I be getting the UAC nag boxes and you aren't?

This is on an alienware alpha one which came with windows 8.1 and steam pre-installed.
The first thing I did was update to 10.  The existing steam install seemed fine except for the UAC nags, so I didn't see any reason to change it.
I figured it would be a simple matter of flagging it to run as administrator, but that's not working.
From googling it seems the solution is to move the steam folder to outside the programs folder, but there has got to be a way to get rid of the UAC nags for certain programs located in the programs folder without shutting it down completely.

I always install my OS in a C:\ partition (or drive), and applications / games in the D:\ partition (or drive).   This is so I can completely reload the OS drive without having to shuffle all the data around.

I run Steam in D:\Steam   (You can just move the whole folder..  Steam supports being relocated)

And I turn off UAC completely.  (Turned it off on Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, and now 10).    UAC is good for people who don't know how to work on computers, as it scares them into not changing things that might break it...   (where as I do stuff like this for a living...   if I break it, I can fix it)

Maybe the same fix that gets GFWL games to work on Win8.1? http://www.alialsawaf.com/post/36741943821/how-to-fix-games-for-windows-live-on-windows-8-pro

Essentially, just uninstall the GFWL that comes with the game, then install the newest version (not sure if the Win7 compatibility mode is needed or not).
