Control Panel Boxes
« on: January 14, 2004, 02:04:58 am »

I am working on my first MAME cabinet. I stumbled accross this CP Box http://www.gamecab.com/proddetail.asp?prod=2PDLWTB and this is very similar to what I was planning on building, but a little shallow and a little narrower. I will likely build my own CP Box, but was curious if anyone new of any other sites, etc that sell similar boxes.

Thanks for any info.

Seems to also be a good alternative.  I haven't had any experience with this company yet, but i am planning on making mmy first order this weekend with any luck (moolah lol).
The owner seems very eager to please and is speedy to answer and emails or requests.

Slick Stick is expensive but makes an really nice stick setup.  The gamecab company offers something VERY similar, but at a slightly cheaper price.    Really depends on what you are looking for i suppose in looks.  Gamecabs seems to look a little more plain boxed, but the parts are all the same as slikstik uses from what i can tell, save for maybe the joystick types. I'm sure GAMECAB would put whatever you wanted in though, but i can't be sure of that. Email them and ask

Anyone else had any experience with the GAMECAB company?   I would love to hear good or bad. :)

good luck with your purchase :)

I built my own control panel box.  It's a small case with routed grooves in each side so I can change the actual panel if I want.  Here's a link to the thread with some (pretty lousy) pictures:

I made a purchase with Game Cabinets Inc. (Needed some buttons and ordered some wire for good measure), and I have to say that they are GREAT to work with.  Very responsive to my questions via e-mail and really reasonable IMHO, they were also very quick at shipping.  I unfortunately didn't order a Control panel box from them so I can't speak for the quality there, but overall I was very impressed with them.

Just my 2 cents
