Monitor in a marquee
« on: February 26, 2016, 04:10:12 pm »
I was just wondering if anyone was rocking a monitor inside their marquee and if so is it game play footage? Art? Flyer?. I have a new Geo themed cab and in the now playing cut out of the marquee I was thinking of putting a mini monitor of game play. Can anyone also recommend a size? Monitor make.Pardon me if this was already brought up

I use the LG 21:9 monitor for my marquee. I use hi-res marquee artwork for Mame, and have made custom marquees with box art for all of my consoles. I use Hyperspin, and HyperMarquee works excellently.

Well worth the cost if you can swing it.

Has anyone put in say a 7 or 8" monitor that would show game play?

I think he's referring to a mini-monitor inside a static marquee.  Like using the space in a Neo-Geo marquee.

You can use HyperMarquee and have them show animated images.  I've done that just messing around to see if its possible.  I used an animated image of Mario running that would show on the marquee screen whenever your are playing Mario Bros.

Yes, Endprodukt did a small 'now playing' monitor in a Neo Geo marquee.  I don't know if he has a full build thread here, but he linked this.
