Any Idea What This Connector Is Called...
« on: February 26, 2016, 01:27:37 am »
...and any idea where can I buy a replacement that will fit correctly? I included a pic of the ruler measurement in millimeters.

Im not talking about the whitest piece middle connector that joins the two dull plastic plugs...Im looking for a replacement for one of those dull semi-clear plastic plugs on either side of the middle connector.

(Thanks, Im sure this is an easy one, I just dont wanna screw up and order the wrong thing)

The white piece would be a Molex Z Connector male/male, 24 Pin, 0.156"
Listed here ( http://www.pinball.center/en/shop/electronics-parts/connectors/6399/molex-z-connector-male/male-24-pin-0.156-mwws156-1624 )

and the clear pieces would be .156" (3.96mm) IDC 12-Position Connector For 22 Gauge Wire

Pic from here ( http://www.pinballlife.com/index.php?p=product&id=1607 )

also...don't use them.

IDC connectors don't carry much current and often work loose if you don't have a proper punchdown tool for them. they are made for ease of assembly in the plant.

it's better if you have them and you need to replace it, to replace it with a standard .156 trifurcon style connector. it's crimped so it's already 10x better and it also has better current carrying capability.

I get mine from Twistywrist Arcade or Bob Roberts (only if I need other things from him).  Twistywrist ships fast too.

https://www.twistywristarcade.com/156-kk-series/307-connector-housing-12pos-156-w-ramp.html?search_query=molex+.156+kk&results=16

Make sure you get pins .156 pins

I've also ordered from Twisty Wrist, Pinball Life as well as Great Plains... All have been good to me.  .. Riptor's site is great for caps, kits, qbert stuff, especially pac stuff, pinball life cheap replacement parts... But when it comes to molex I have a tendency to order from Great Plains.
