Recroomgames Cocktail cabinet glass mod

Has anyone changed the plexiglass top to glass on this cocktail cabinet?  I had the glass cut, got clips..  All is good. Problem is the actual top is held down by 4 screws that go thru plexiglass. Didn't put holes in glass and the screws won't go under the glass because they sit up a little. Wayne At recroomgames says many of put the glass on just didn't know what they did. 

Thanks for any advice.
