Rowe cd100d
« on: January 27, 2016, 04:08:25 pm »
We have a Rowe cd-100d, when I play a cd the cd spins up then stops, then it will spin backwards, do that a couple times then stop.  I looked at the diagnostic codes and service manual and can't figure out what I should check/do next.  We've had the JB for years and haven't had any issues.  I did unplug all the wires from the ccc and make sure they were seated properly.  Also we have no neon lights, any help would appreciated: )

Thanks!!
Jake

Could be a bad optical pickup unit (laser) or the turntable motor. Worst case could be the circuit board in the player is bad.

I'm supprised that it not saying out of order.   It looks like if it was the CCC the board error led would be lit.   Wonder how I would check to see if the optical pickup is bad?

Shipping something from the U.S. to Canada for repair/exchange?  Please use USPS to avoid (additional?/excessive?) shipping charges.  PM me if you have any questions.
