Decasing a PC CRT monitor

I am trying to decase a 21" PC CRT monitor for my arcade build but i'm having some difficulties. I have removed the back and the stand but I cannot get the front bezel off. It was attached to the chassis by four corner bolts which I have removed, but it is still being attached somewhere around the front control buttons area.

Does anyone have experience decasing a PC CRT? And was there some extra attachment I cannot see at the front controls?

Wow, that's a hell of an encasement.  I'm assuming that metal grid is pretending to be a Faraday Cage to keep EMF emissions down.  Can't help ya here, just commenting and subbing cause I wanna use a PC CRT in my cocktail.

They're all different. Just look around carefully for smaller screws or cables. Do not simply yank it off - you might risk breaking the controller board on the front of the monitor.

Look for the service manual on Google. You can easily find the instructions to decase most modern monitors on the interwebs (as I learned myself trying to fix a Trinitron unit not so long ago).

I have decased 2 19" monitors and not had to deal with that big metal cage.  I think it is typical for 21" monitors to have those.  I recently picked up a 21" and if I use it, I probably won't bother decasing it. I will probably make a decent bezel and hide it behind smoked plexi....
