Jamma board 60 in 1 question
« on: January 10, 2016, 06:10:36 pm »
I have a question on the Jamma 60 in 1 pcb. I'm new to this PCB, my last build was MAME with hacked USB gamepad's.  The Jamma 60 in 1 is simple enough to figure out, I have a prototype CP wired and functioning and played with the settings.  My question is there a way to exit a game and jump back to the main page? Without letting the game finish out.

I'm building another arcade, just have not finished the final theme idea of it..... once I do I'll share the design and build photos.

I have a 60-in-1. Pretty sure there's no way to quit to menu early. You have to wait until all game lives are lost.

Correct, those bootleg boards were designed primarily to be operated illegally and not for home use, so there is no return to menu.
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

+1.  The only way to exit is to let the game end.

You can reset the game by cutting power, but it takes longer to re-boot than just waiting it out.

Operated illegally?  I was figuring that you CAN'T back out because you wouldn't want someone to do that if they paid.

Exactly what Paige was hinting at -- since the 60 in 1s were released to illegally use in machines that were taking money to play (even though they have no agreements with the original game makers or copyright holders ! )
