Author Topic: MAME Extras CPanels vs Colors.ini (Read 1924 times)

Hi Guys,

When comparing the latest MAME colors.ini file to the cpanel images from MAME Extras, it looks like there are many games in which the colors.ini doesn't match the image.

For example:

bloodbro
The cpanel image has P1 Joystick+Buttons as RED and P2 Joystick+ Buttons as BLUE
The colors.ini has them Yellow, Magenta and Black

Before I go and change mine, could someone please let me know the logic used to determine the colors.ini colors? I would assume they should match, no?

Can you please be specific on what versions of MAME you're talking about here?

Sure!

Currently I'm on 0.160 for EMU and EXTRAS. My understanding is that the controls.ini and colors.ini haven't been updated in quite some time... so I would assume the cpanel images would be more reliable, but I'm hoping for guidance from someone with more knowledge on which source to "trust".
