G20-100-003 Megatouch 06/95
« on: December 28, 2015, 01:04:59 pm »
Help - my megatouch ( Tournament edition) is having problems

Originally - it was flashing Start up Normal (blue screen)

I fixed the fan, it was filled with dust and debris - machine went back to normal operation.

After playing the game or games for 10 minutes - the issue of "monitor is normal" is reposting up again. :banghead:

Should i pull the board and re-seat each CHIP and do a better job of cleaning ?

The fan is now working and has no stopped.

Thoughts of the next repair approach.   My friend thought it would be a hard drive , but i don't think this model has a hard drive.

I believe my edition is mostly firmware versus his later edition with a harddrive.

thanks for anyhelp.

You need to check your voltages. IIRC those megatouch used a PC style power supply and yours is now over 20 years old.
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

The power supply was exchanged with a more current one.

I'll verify the voltage to ensure its correct - thanks
