MAME32 Will not Launch Properly in Maximus 2.10 "Error"
« on: December 14, 2015, 03:57:59 pm »

I have spent days attempting to fix this issue making changes to Maximus and searching this forum to no avail.  The problem I am having is running MAME32 37b9 in Maximus Arcade.  I have a PC running Windows XP Home edition.  I can run MAME32 in stand alone Mode and everything appears fine.  I can see the game images and I have audited the Roms many times.  I do get errors when auditing but I have over 1000 ROMs in the ROM's folder so I am sure there are some files missing here and there but I assume that is normal.  The problem is when I select a game in Maximus it gives me two MAME32 Errors the first is "MAME Does not support the game 'C:\Docum\Owner\Desktop...\ROMS\pacman.zip' for example.  If I click OK I then get the error message "MAME32 - Unknown Option'  Unknown option '-skip_gameinfo',continue anyway?  If I click on yes it takes me to the MAME32 emulator start screen.  If I quit MAME32 I am then taken back into Maximus Arcade which is still running and goes back to the same screen I originally started from.  I have checked the proper folders in Maximus for the Emulator and the ROMs locations many times and even tried reloading Maximus as well as other emulators and still get the same exact error.  I even tried a different PC.  Can anyone please help???? I would really appreciate it!

Somebody needs to fix MAME so that it works with frontends.  I do not know why they have not done it already.  They need to fix the machine / game crap and whatever else is cause MAME not to work in frontends.
