---steaming pile of meadow muffin---, this is a steal! I'd snatch it up if I were in the area...but I'm on the other coast. :(

GLWTS, I can't imagine this lasting long at that price.

Absolutely a great deal! Unfortunately most people might be short on cash (too close to X-mas)
Myself included  :banghead:   I'm about an hour away, if that.

Just out of curiosity, do you know what this cabinet originally was?
It's Vewlix-type, but it's definitely not a real Taito Vewlix. The shape is different.

At first I thought it was a converted Namco Noir, but the shape doesn't look the same either. Nether does the Lindbergh cabinet look the same, though the CP is very similar.

Are there any markings or labels in or around the cab?  I've been racking google trying to figure out what this is...

Hey you all, Hope I can shed some light on what type of arcade it might be.  I have a delta 32 hd arcade that looks similar in some forms but I'm not too sure if that's it...

Not all arcades have official cabinets. There are lots of knock-offs out there. Not that this should deter anyone, I just think people should know exactly what they're buying especially when it comes to hundreds of dollars.

Vewlix is an actual brand of cabinet, made by Taito. People tend to call all of these modern sit-down LCD cabinets -- Vewlix's.  It's like how people mainly call cotton-swabs Q-tips, but they're not all actual Q-tip brands.

Just trying to figure this out 'cause I don't think I've seen this type of modern LCD cabinet before.   This is a big deal because even some official Vewlix's, I can't remember which model, have more LCD lag than others.  It would be good to know what kind of hardware this cabinet hosts.  And really, I'm curious where this actually came from.

Not trying to be rude or devalue anything, this is still a great deal for a modern LCD cab.

Awww, not sold? :(

edit:  Welp. I just got a PM from the OP calling me a troll and telling me to go eff myself. I didn't see the last two messages he wrote before being deleted along with the rest , but I guess he must have been pissed that I wanted to know what model of cabinet it actually was. Or pointed out the misnomer.
 :dunno

I genuinely didn't mean anything by asking what the cabinet was. I mean, yeah people should know exactly what they're buying too. But I've seen a bunch -in the wild- and there are a lot of variations and shape deviations between these types of cabs and I was curious of this one because I've haven't seen this type before.

*After looking a bit more around the net, I think it might be close to a G-Balance cabinet (Flyer 1, 2).

I looks like it comes from China or perhaps Taiwan, from the words in the flyers. I'm not entirely sure though...lots of these cabs have very little information available.
The CP shape looks about right, and the way the support frame was designed (similar to a Net City cab) looks similar to what pictures were posted.

Bah, too bad this guy took his ball and went home. If anything I feel a little less ignorant of these newer cabinets now having seen what G-Balance and Delta 32 HD cabs look like. So thanks for that?
Taito Vewlix cabs are still my fav, but I wouldn't be opposed to owning a Lindbergh Universal as well:

Wait a sec, it might have been a modified Lindbergh too!  ???

$500 freaking dollars for a working cabinet and you, thousands of miles away, penniless, and with no intentions of purchasing, were crapping all over it.

"Just asking questions, bro!"

Yeah, yeah, we get it.

Thanks for sharing opt2not, I was pretty interested in also finding out what kind of cabinet the arcade was. All new knowledge. I had no idea about The G-balance cabinet. It's a pretty cool cab also.

c'mon, I wasn't complaining about the price at all. In my first post I said this is a steal, and wished I were in the area 'cause I'd buy it at that price. Then later I asked what exactly the cabinet was and questioned the guy's misnomer. That's not thread crapping.. that's asking for clarification and details.
What's the matter with you two?

No problem, glad at least one other person benefited from the info provided.

This.

In the future please do not delete.  Read the rules here:  http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,66397.0.html
"REQUIRED FORMAT FOR B/S/T SUBJECT - When you post in Buy/Sell/Trade, use this format.  When you sell something, mark it as such!"

A lot of times people use these threads for price checks and references.  It not fair to everyone if you pull it down.  Plus, what a pain it would be to see "please delete" on hundreds of posts!   :laugh2:

Well put.

It was actually a very informative thread over a type of cab we hadn't rally seen before. Not sure why the OP sent a nasty PM. Maybe Jim Jimming made him think something bad was going on.

Naw, he sent that nasty PM before pbj posted.

It would have just been nice to add a bit of information on these modern cabs, because we rarely talk about them here. As much as I'm a purist oldschooler like some of our members, we can't deny they're going to be popping up from time-to-time, in sales and in project threads.  Any and as much info would benefit the community.

I sent him pm regarding shipping it and he said it was sold so I think it's gone.
