ok i just took apart a dualstrike controller and wired it up to my spyhunter control panel.

the stock 1k pot makes it unplayable, it is super sensitive and you fly off the road with the slightest turn of the wheel. this happens even with the analog settings in mame turned all the way down.

i then installed a $3 radio shack 5k pot (5k-Ohm Linear-Taper potentiometer, part #271-1714) on the steering wheel. the results are perfect, with a little tweaking of the analog setup in mame the car behaves just like the original arcade machine. i had to grind off a small bracket on the pot and shorten the shaft.

just thought id share my results. i was excited to steer with the real controller.  :D
