Megatouch EZ MAXX CRC Error after upgrade to sapphire 2
« on: December 05, 2015, 05:49:42 pm »
I recently bought a hd (sapphire 2) and key to fix up my old megatouch (old drive was dead), I got the new drive and installed it with the key turned it on, it started reading the drive then stopped. I restarted and came up with merit lennox uncompressing, then crc error system halt. Changed out the battery, reset time and date, saved & started to boot only to have the same message come up. I have checked all wires, checked the processor no broken pins, changed ribbon wire, messed with the dip switches, did a default configure.  I also tried the drive in another pc  to make sure the drive was at least good. Seen it starting to test things then fail at touch screen stuff, which I did not have hooked up, So the drive seemed ok. I have contacted the seller and he has giving me some info but he's done helping apparently. I'm not sure if he gave me a drive that maybe corrupted or just doesn't know what to do next.  Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated.
