Are you sure that your motherboard supports that feature?  I didn't see it mentioned in the manual:

^this - from the looks of it only certain Mobos support the feature according to ASUS :

However, I did see an option in the manual where you can turn off the boot screen altogether.  Not sure if that helps.   :dunno

Never have I seen a mobo to allow changing the of the logo, and I have been in a lot of mobos (I build and salvage computers as a hobby, and IT as career).
I have seen a few that allows turning off the logo.
there should be other options where you can have it set to show POST progress (or detailed startup) where it wont show any logos.
I always like it to show POST rather than just a logo, bec I like seeing what it is doing.
Plus showing post is similar to watching mame games go through its startup sequence, so in a way, showing POST kinda fits for a MAME PC IMO.

You must not get out much then. Alot of modern mother boards support this. All of my ASUS boards and all of my Gigabyte boards will do this. A couple of my MSI boards will also do it, but the procedure is a little less straight forward.

You can see it in action in this video from my son's cabinet

From their FAQS on the MOBO it looks like you can actually use version 2 which seems to still have a download link - so might have removed v1.0 and replaced it with 2.0 which is why you can't find v1.0 anymore. Have you tried using version 2.0 ?

Here's a Link to a download for the ASUS AI suite 2 which I believe has what you need (the FAQ questions leads to the instructions to install my logo 2 which mentions using AI suite 2 and running update so figured you probably need the AI suite 2 files - which were found here (http://downloads.tomsguide.com/AI-Suite-II,0301-55295.html ) and that links does seem to still be working.

According to Toms Guide link posted :

The apps includes ASUS System Information, ASUS PC Probe II, ASUS Update, ASUS FAN Xpert and ASUS MyLogo. These utilities will get you the latest updates and also tweak some performances of your components.

I don't usually get to see a lot of the newest mobos.
I mostly see intel and MSI boards, and if I remember rightn, intel stopped making desktop mobos.
I don't usually like digging in BOIS, unless I'm fighting to turn off secure boot and setting up raid arrays.
Imma have to look in my home PC (ASRock) to see if it has this option.

Ok I figured it out. For the M2V-MX when you install Asus update it automatically installs MyLogo version 1

Check out my new boot screen.. using Atom 15 on a Radeon 4890 and Nanano 25" 15k monitor
