  • I want to build my own arcade controls!
Hey guys. so ive been doing a lot of research to find a good program for my touch screen jukebox. Thus far the best ive found is zenpoints music center. It looks beautiful, and runs nicely. But my concern is it seems to be backed by a very small team, if not one person. There seems to be a fair amount of bugs here and there that people encounter. BUT, my biggest peeve is the licensing. When you purchase the key for 30 dollars, within an hour to 2 days, a key will be emailed to you to unlock it. NOW, the peeve for me is, if you ever need to reinstall the software, or OS, you need a new key.. therefore you need to email the guy, and within 3-5 days youll have a new key. Anyone knows that when youre building a new system of sorts, theres always trials and errors. For a program that seems to be vulnerable to a lot bugs, its ridiculous to have to wait 5 days every time i uninstall, and re install the software. So until i give in, Is there any really nice, clean looking touch screen juke box programs i can migrate to?

Until i jump to zenpoint, ive been using e-touch. The problem with both e-touch and touchjams, is they both look like they were made for windows 98. The graphics, layout, all looks so dated and tacky. Zenpoint is leaps and bounds ahead, visually, im just completely on the fence about some things with it. I found mostly the same software on different searches so it seems im limited.

@ aldub516 - do you want a product key to give TouchJams a good test spin? Email me at support@touchjams.com if you are interested.

I have tried the demos for several of these systems and I went with Zenpoint. I have uninstalled and reinstalled zenpoint 5 times (2 of which were OS reinstalls) and the same key worked every time. I could be wrong, but my understanding is that the key is somehow tied to the hardware, but not for sure. I have not installed on the same system with a new OS though to verify that it would still work, and that is my concern, but I won't be updating the OS anyway. I just hope the hardware holds out.

I've been really happy with AlbumPlayer. Skinnable, great touchscreen support. And product support has been great too.

Plus no weird licensing and it's very reasonable.

Things have moved on since the V7 you were using.
