ATOM15 on h81m-plus (UEFI)?
« on: November 12, 2015, 11:38:42 pm »
Hi Guys,

I have recently purchased a H81M-Plus motherboard, and fitted a Celeron G3258 (Overclocked to 4.2Ghz).
I have a passive ATI HD-4350.

Currently running Win8.1 (x64) with Hyperspin and a SVGA 21" monitor.

I am planning to "upgrade" to a 59cm (25") TV, with a Jomac Chassis and Ultimarc Video Amp.

Questions:
Should I flash the HD-4350 with the ATOM15 firmware?
I read somewhere that UEFI and ATOM15 are not so good together?

Anything I should be aware of changing from the 21" SVGA to 25" screen?

Definitely flash it.

After it is flashed, see if you can get into the UEFI BIOS or not. If not, you may want to revert.

I'm planning to do the same - I have similiar board with Asus 4350. What I've read UEFI bios is hardcoded to 1024x768 so it wont be possible to see boot on standard TV/arcade monitor unless our monitor has 24 kHz support but at least windows boot will be visible.

When using atom15 on pci board, could you hook up an lcd to onboard video card if you need to adjust bios or do other admin stuff?
