Split mame set...... merged chd set?

I have a full .167 split rom set. Wondering if I dl the .167 merged chd set if things will be compatible?
All I can find is the merged chd

You will be good man. You wont even need the vast majority of the stuff in a full chd set. A huge portion of it is not working, plus there is stuff that just doesn't fit a typical mame cab like dance and guitar games.
