Turntable arm adjustment help
« on: November 07, 2015, 04:21:05 pm »
My first post here and hoping someone can help me.  I have a 45 rpm juke box antique apparatus that I bought new in the early 90's. It is a Wurlitzer style and I think the guts are Rowe- but not 100%.   I recently moved it from one house to another and now the turntable arm lands just outside the record so all I get is scratchy sound- it does not eventually move over and catch the groves- just stays that way.  When I lift the arm and set it back down is seats just fine without adjustment, in fact I can't duplicate it manually, only happens during the first play. It happens on every record.
I've read how to adjust the arm if the records stops playing too soon but that is as close as I have found. I have the owners manual but can find no directions to fix this specific issue.  Any help would be appreciated- thank you.
