need help to identify a game
« on: November 02, 2015, 06:05:26 pm »
Earlier today, I just thought of an old arcade game I used to play as a kid at a Mr. Gatti's that was nearby.
It was a side scrolling shmup, where one player was a helicopter, and the other was a jeep.
if I remember right, the controls were a joystick with a button on the top of it, and 2 buttons.
Each player was designated to a specific vehicle (ie. P1 was always the jeep, P2 was always the helicopter. Not sure if that was the exact setup.)
as far as controls went, for the helicopter, one button was to shoot forward, and the other was to shoot downward. The button on the joystick allowed the helicopter to tilt forward, making its forward firing shots shoot slightly downward.
As for the jeeps controls, I just know the buttons is for fire, and to make the jeep "jump"

I would like to get the name of the game so I can get it for my cabitnet I'm building when it is completed.

thanks in advance.

watched a longplay of the game (arcade version), and there seems to be quite a difficulty curve through the game.
the one I watched lasted 30 minutes, playing as the helicopter, and played through all 10 waves without dying.
there was a few instances where it seems he would have gotten killed, so idk hes been able to do it lol

anywho, its exactly as I remember it.
Playing as the jeep always been a pain, and I never used it
