Interesting use of the Rift and arcade gaming

I thought everyone here might be interested in seeing this,  I just found it today but I'll be keeping an eye on it.

It's a VR arcade using the Rift and runs MAME for emulation.  Seems like an idea with potential if it adds some things like arcade ambience sound,  and could potentially make emulation consoles or older computers like the C64 pretty immersive.  It could be an interesting space-saver alternative for some as well,  just a control panel and it could emulate things like multi-monitor displays like Punch-Out.

Thinking a few years down the road,  I could picture the approved multiplayer MAME and this allowing people to "See" other people in the arcade as avatars they play against.

What's everyone think?  Seems like one of those game changers for emulation to me.

I know I would love the idea that we can use a virtual space for meeting and playing at places we enjoyed in our youth.  Of course we're going to need some pretty beefy hardware to have 30+ games being all active at once.
