Pandoras box?
« on: October 25, 2015, 07:45:39 am »
Finishing up my 4p cab and my son tells me he wants a small cab.

I think I will build him a bartop, i have several old lcd pc monitors I could pick and choose to use .
What im out of is spare pc's .... ive seen these pandoras box multi pcb's going for cheap on ebay.

My concern is I dont know what I would need for wiring?
A full jamma harness?

I have an old vendetta 4p cab in the garage.... could I use the harness from it without alot of troubles?

I keep reading about these china pcb boxes and that the ground pinout is wrong .... are all of these like this?

They use a JAMMA harness but use pin 27 for button 6 (if you have that many player buttons). On standard JAMMA, pin 27 is ground. Just google to get the full Pandora's Box pinout.

There is an adapter if you want to leave the harness alone.  Also, there are bootlegs of pandas box 3 that don't run well.  I haven't tried the good one yet, but people seem to be happy with it.

The real ones don't run that well either. Better to spend the money on a used PC.
