r-94 Rowe sound works then no then yes then no
« on: October 21, 2015, 09:17:19 am »
Hi can someone please help me with this
We have a Rowe r-94 that no sound would come out
So we bought a rebuilt amp and installed it
Then when powered on there was a high pitch squeal
Then the next week it was powered on and sounded fine everything worked
Then a month later turned it on and the squeals back
Any ideas ?
And all of the lights have been needing replaced for a long time would that have something to do with this ?
Working on them is  the fun part

Start with the basics first:

Amplifier connected to output transformer package properly.

Speakers and volume control connected to proper terminals on terminal strips on the output transformer assembly.

Screws snug on those terminal strips.

Are you using the jukebox built in volume control, hardwire remote volume control, or wireless remote volume control?

I'm almost positive the wires are right because it has worked in the years past for many many years and yes I am using the potentiometer built in to the back of the juke box thanks for your reply hopes that helps
