Wiring time this weekend / 7 buttons / ipac4 questions
« on: October 20, 2015, 09:05:07 pm »
Going to start on wiring my first cab this weekend.

Ordering ipac4 friday.
Im trying to figure out if ill have any issues since my cp has 7 buttons for players 1 and 2 plus the coin/start buttons. Players 3 and 4 are 4 button plus coin and start, then I have 4 admin buttons.

Does the ipac4 only have 6 main button inputs for players 1 and 2 or will I have to remap them all and it wont really matter?

I guess what im saying is.... all the guides ive read and videos watched are just straightforward builds with no extra buttons like I did on mine.
It will probably make sense once I have it in my hands and start hooking it up but its just one of those queations ive been struggling with in my head and if anyone has any advice or links to anything helpfull its appreciated.

Keep in mind that the iPac can be programmed to use whatever buttons you want in any configuration.  It's an amazingly versatile device.

The IPAC4 has eight button inputs per player plus discreet coin and start inputs. You'll be fine.

Also remember that there is some overlap in some of the defaults.

I, K, J, and L are used for Player 2 Button 5-8 and Player 3 directional default keys.
