Bugs - history.dat not showing correctly
« on: October 15, 2015, 12:24:04 pm »
Brought up this topic some time back, but I never found a solution for it. Therefore I'm assuming these are bugs with the display of history.dat in the info window in MaLa:

1. MaLa displays all games with rom names containing the rom name you want to display. For example, for "Mr. Do!", the window displays the info for "Emmerdale". My guess is that MaLa searches for the rom name "mrdo" and then displays all entries conaining this phrase. One of the rom names for "Emmerdale" is "sp_emmrdo".

This repeats itself for many games, when its rom name is part of another rom name. Like "pacman" is also displaying info for "jrpacman" and "mspacman" among others.

2. MaLa seems to ignore line breaks in history.dat so the text doesn't display correctly.

Are there any known workarounds for this, or is it possible to fix?
