Newbie question about coin switch wiring

Hi,
Apologies in advance if the answer to this question is already on the forum, I do try a bit of research before posting a question, but last time I posted and 20 seconds later my question was answered so its tempting to go this route.
I am wiring up my coin door lamps and switches on my Xybots machine.  The existing wires seem to be 24 AWG according to my gauge, the tabs on the coin switch terminals are 6.3mm (.25"), but I cant find female connectors in both these sizes anywhere.
Does anyone know where I can get connectors in this size?
Will I be ok just going with a 6.3mm for 22-18 AWG?

You can use .250" connectors, but you'll need to strip extra wire and double it over so you shove a double thickness into the crimp.

Personally, I solder my connections.

A guy on youtube said that doubling over the wire could cause a short circuit, is this not anything to worry about in this instance?
I can see that learning to solder is inevitable at some point, but im starting with crimping and building up.

I fail to see how stripping a little extra on the end and folding it over would cause a short...

i just solder directly to the button terminals. One less point of failure. Also faster and cheaper.

This is reassuring, I will go down this route with the larger connectors.

But in future soldering is the way to go, then I don't have to shell out on connectors at all, seems obvious now.
