IPAC4 button control question
« on: October 13, 2015, 04:00:51 pm »
Forgive me if this is a total newb question, but I am at my wits end on this issue. I have a I-PAC4 that I bought new about 4 years ago. When I installed it, I used windows XP and everything worked great. Last month I decided to upgrade my arcade with a new computer so in went windows 8.1. I have remapped all my buttons, but for some reason my 1sw8 button is slaved to the rt mouse click feature. I am trying to program it to be my escape button. The Ipac program reflects it being the escape button, but windows always throws up the rt.click window whenever I hit the button....Help! Thanks!

Hey there,

When you re-installed the Ipac software did you make sure you installed the older version?

Do you have any other button mapped to right click?

Did you have it mapped to right click on the old system?

Are you running any Auto Hot Key or macros that might be changing it?

I thought in the old Ipac software there was a restore to default settings option somewhere (worst case)

Thank you for the reply! I installed the correct version, I do not have any button mapped for rt. click, I did not have it mapped in the old system either. No hot keys/macros and I reinstalled the defaults thinking that might clear it up. I am wondering if it is related to windows 8.1?

I've personally used ipac2, ultimate io, minipac on windows 8.1 and 10 with no problems. Make sure 100% u have the right version as the links to older winipac software can sometimes be easy to miss. Certain boards need a certain version
