Electric ICE-T wire layout
« on: October 04, 2015, 07:56:05 pm »
I've got the Electric ICE-T 3" trackball, and am having trouble when connecting it to the Opti-wiz board.  There are three sets of wires - red and black for power, then purple and blue in another pair, and green and yellow for the other pair.  Which ones are X and which ones are Y?

The Groovy-TB 3" Trackball has three wire pairs, each with .100" spaced connectors.  They are as follows.

Red and Black - +5vDC and GROUND respectively.
Blue and Purple - Y-Axis
Yellow and Green - X Axis

The orientation of the axis connection will vary, based on the encoder wheels ordered.  If either axis is reversed, just unplug that wire pair from the Opti-Wiz, turn it 180 degrees, and re-connect.
