Video Issues Dual monitors (Golden Tee Cabinet)
« on: September 04, 2015, 01:40:26 pm »
Hi everyone
Hopefully someone can help me I have a dedicated golden tee live stand machine that I upgraded to 2015. I also upgraded the video card to the Zotac 740 and it has a HDMI port, DVI-D dual link port and a VGA port. So I'm using the vga port for the main monitor and it works fine. The other monitor the small LCD one on the top of the cabinet has a VGA port and a DVI-I dual link port. I tried connecting a DVI-D cable to the video card and the LCD and it doesnt work. So I tried a DVI-D dual link to VGA adapter on the video card with using a VGA cable and that doesnt work either. What can I use? Or what am I doing wrong? I used a VGA cable to the LCD to the video card and that works fine but then I need a connection for the main monitor cause it only has VGA.

VGA doesn't natively support dual screen. You'll want to run 1 DVI and the other HDMI.

OR, get one of these:

Also... just because you have both analog and DVI connections doesn't necessarily mean you've got dual monitor support. That may just be the video card manufacturer giving its consumers the option to hook up their monitors via DVI OR VGA. Check your documentation to be sure. I have a Zotac 610 that is that way as well.

golden tee SORT OF supports multimonitor.

in the newer cabinet, yes, there is a 2nd monitor that displays game stats/advertizing. i believe they use a DVI to VGA adapter or a cable that has DVI on one side and VGA on the other. it's been a while since I've been in one of those cabinets. We used mainly the pedestal and the 40/50 ince tv's.

the main thing is, in order for these video ports to work right, you must connect everything up AND THEN boot up, otherwise it won't detect and enable the port for video.
