Well I was going to go Seahawks as well, but in the vein of picking different teams I am going:

Cardinals defeat Bengals

The high school I work at is in the Arizona State Division II finals next Friday, Arizona State kicked the ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- out of their rival University of Arizona, and the Cardinals are 3-0 in prime time games. Victory brew!

Oklahoma State and University of Houston both took a ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- so that's the end of that.

Dallas Cowboys continue to play with my emotions by eeking out a victory. Houston opted to show infomercials and stupid movies rather than the Cowboys game, so we went and saw the Hunger Games movie (meh) and finished off the 4th quarter on my ipad. Have to laugh that now I'm the "hey, I heard you might have a stream to that Cowboys game..." recipient of random texts now.

Houston couldn't show the Cowboys game because they were showing the Texans on CBS. Fox couldn't run another game since Houston was playing at home.

Yeah, but this one may be a blessing in disguise. Ideally, he'll heal up okay, cite this injury as the reason to retire, and walk away with his brain intact. Maybe that left arm will ache on a cold day but he will always have the fond memories of those two playoff victories.

I think Aikman is more lucid than people joke about, but I'm doubtful he's going to make it to 60 with his wits.

My brother-in-law, who came over yesterday for Thanksgiving and is a Cowboys fan, really wants them to go after Matthew Stafford this off season. I read an article that statistically, Stafford is Romo 2.0, so I don't know if that's a good thing or not.

Since the Lions replaced their OC, Stafford's numbers have been impressive. Not enough for me to forget the crap that he's been throwing for years. He's had the benefit of having a great WR to help him out. I don't see the Lions dealing him though. Who do they have behind him? Orlovsky? Didn't he go WINLESS for them before and 1-15 with the Colts?

Actually, that'd make perfect sense for that franchise to make that move.

Meh, all I can do is hope that the Cowboys have the sense to throw in the towel on the rest of the season and get the draft picks.

University of Houston made it to their conference championship, so I'm headed to that game on Saturday. If they win that, they ought to go to a good bowl game. Exciting times for that school in general lately.

Off topic, but this is Everything Else and my Cowboys season is over anyway.

University of Houston had their conference championship this morning. I was there.

First we crash an alumni event and begin day drinking at 10am.

Yess... yess... play for your non-alumni...

Hmm... these seats are pretty good... but we can do better...

And, off to their first major bowl game since 1984...

They won't make the playoffs. If they do, they'll lose in the first round. Either way, they end with a middling record and get a middling draft pick. I'd be racing the Browns to the bottom of the heap if I was in charge. Run your 2nd and 3rd stringers and get them some field time. That's my take on the situation, anyway.

Nothing is more frustrating that being a fan of a team with just enough talent to tease you into believing they have a chance to compete in the playoffs.

I echo Jim's wishes, I hope the Falcons lose out to try to get a better pick....

Also if some team could hire Kyle Shannahan as their head coach, that'd be great.

Teddy Bridgewater is a pretty classy dude, I like him and his skill set. Very articulate in his press conference tonight after a tough loss. Reassuring to know that the fact I hate freaking Cam Newton has nothing to do with what Bomanti Jones suggests it does.
