potentiometer (pot) type for cisco heat / big run jaleco cab

howdy, i need to replace a potentiometer on my cisco heat racing cab and i have no idea what size potentiometer i need
i've tried a 100 kohm and a 5 kohm
it was made in 1990
ANY suggestions would be great

This may sound silly, but did you try looking at the old one to see what it was, or looking in the manual?

I know someone who owns one, but he isn't much of a repair guy, not sure if I could get him to check.
