ledblinky questions:
« on: August 17, 2015, 09:03:51 pm »
hi again fellas.  on my ddr to open itg  project ive given up on proper lighting ever working on this thing...

last light i downloaded led blinky to see how well that will control my pacdrive. I wrote up a simple routine i like to make my spotlights on the ddr machine come on and off in a counterclockwise fashion.

my questions are:

How do i set this routine as the default thing led blinky does?  I'm trying to make it just a standalone thing.

and

Once i have that setup, can i add ledblinky.exe to my startup folder to get it to start and do its thing everytime the pc is powered up?

Thanks guys. I  know nothing about this stuff, im used to factory built arcade games..  all this kind of stuff is all brand new to me.

while in waiting on that part of it, I decided maybe it would be cool if led blinky just sequenced the lights based on audio..    ledblinky cant find any audio device, I have a mobo audio board..  looks like I need to buy a different audio card to put in this pc... MOFO!!!!

.........................dancing with myself
Oh dancing with myself
Oh dancing with myself
Well there's nothing to lose
And there's nothing to prove
I'll be dancing with myself
If I looked all over the world
And there's every type of girl
But your empty eyes
Seem to pass me by
Leave me dancing with myself.........        >:D

I ordered up one of those cheapie usb audio cards, hopefully that's something ledblinky will recognize and get me over the hurdle here.

I have no answers for you, but would like you to know that I support you in this endeavor and look forward to any other Billy Idol references that may result.

You can start LEDBlinky from a command prompt (or script/batch files) and pass the name of your animation file. Here's an example:
<path>\LEDBlinky\LEDBlinky.exe <your animation file>.lwax

The readme.txt and Install & Config.pdf doc have a complete description of all the LEDBlinky command line parameters.

Yes - you can create a batch or script file and put a shortcut (to the batch/script file) in your startup folder. Or you can just create a shortcut to the LEDBlinky executable (LEDBlinky.exe) and modify the shortcut to pass the animation file name.
Robots will kill you.
