Printing marquee?
« on: August 17, 2015, 07:44:53 pm »
I did a search on the site on the only result I could find was a guy whose page redirects to the Hyperspin main page.

What material do you recommend and who do you use?  Mine will be sandwiched between two layers of plexiglass (also, what is the recommend thickness of the plexiglass?).

Thanks!

There is a thread in the BST sub-forum for $15 marquee printing on translite material that is designed to be backlit. which is a good deal and good material for what you are wanting (ie. it is a thinner material so sandwiching between plexi is a good way to use it !) Plus since he is a member here you will not run into problems with certain places not wanting to print copyrighted images if using some old original arcade art

Yep, BYOC member stpcore does awesome prints. Here is my translite marquee I ordered just a couple weeks ago. I wish the "blacks" were darker but this is the nature of translite. I might be able to do another "shadow" print behind this one that blocks out more light but only in the black areas.

If you can read this, it means Photobucket's money grab ruined my signature photos.

GameonGrafix.com

You can order it with or without the plexi for the front and back.

I checked them out.  I like their work and their prices.  I didn't see them also selling plexi for front and back.  Thanks!

The plexi option is the drop down.  I also used the ultra premium material for the marquee.
