marquee brackets

bought the "rigid pvc" bracket for my standup and it doesn't look as nice as the metal ones(midway something, that i bought for my bartop), is there any place to get them 24" and up? Twistedquarter only seems to have the one size.

I just use aluminum angle bracket for my marquees.  Painted with some hammered black it looks great.

I'm with Slippy, just use angle stock available from places like Lowes or homedepot.


I'm not I understand what the PVC stuff is that you got.

Twistedquarter only seems to have the one size.

but at $12.99 + $16.30 shipping a pair for the 30" - I'd agree with Slippy and mgb just get the angle stock and cut to size and paint.

I believe I have the 30" product brand new that I will sell for $5 plus whatever the actual shipping cost is within continental usa.

One thing to look out for is that 3/4" aluminum angle isn't 3/4" on the inside edge, so if mounted to 3/4" wood, it doesn't cover completely.
Depending on how your marquee is set up, this could make a dark line on the edges where light is blocked by the wood, but revealed by the retainer being too short.
Buying oversized usually doesn't look very good.  Some people route a channel for the aluminum angle to set in.  Some people just let it slide.

My marquee has an extra layer of plexi behind it that's been sanded to diffuse the light.  That my marquee art fading to black on the edges covers it up pretty good on my cab.

BYOAC user mcseforsale used a plastic retainer and painted it black.  i used it on my Vigolix and it worked great.

I used 3/4 aluminum angle.. but they also have 1/2 inch if u want, as well as one thats like 1/2 on one side and shorter on the other.. Anyways, here is how the look for me.. To hold the marquee up from the back, i just use 2 small l brackets, or really anything to just screw behind it.. I chose to use little screws on top of the angle aluminum, but you can use adhesive or other means for a clean look..
