High Score Competition Rules and Scoreboard

Settings:
   default : $2000-1 H, $2000-2 H, $2000-3 H, $2000-4 H, $2000-5 H, $2000-6 H (whatever that means)

Controls:   
    8 way joystick, 'shoot' button, 'bomb' button

Description from KLOV: A girl is stolen by evil doers and taken away in a big spacecraft. You must battle your way through eight levels to reach her.
While blasting baddies, you can pick up crystals that can be used to buy special weapons, extra lives, etc.. These shops are at certain points on each level. There is also a bonus game where you can either win a load of crystals or points by shooting at a rotating target. The standard shoot-em-up rules apply. Advance through a scrolling level and then meet up with a big boss, indicated by a change in music from happy to evil. One hit will kill you, but you can either win or buy extra lives.

Hey guys, I'm back!  :D

Really cute little shmup.

Stock bomber is OP.

You can collect the fire turtle (2nd level boss) after it explodes for 2-5k points. Might depend on how fast you kill the boss? Not sure. The explosion doesn't hurt you btw, so you can just hover over him.

What I don't like is the Dream Co. roulette. 2 RNG 4 me.

And just to confirm, these are the settings we are using, right?

Yup, the settings are correct.

The roulette is ok for me, it can't harm you (much) and it isn't crucial for the game, so I can live with the randomness. What irks me is the fixed set of extras available in the shops, which sometimes forces me to do a playstyle I don't really want. And there of course is the steep difficulty curve. I can get to round 4 on one live, then I get slaughtered in approx. one minute. I've read a review in which the guy said that he needed half an hour of continues to get through the last round. That does not bode well for me  :)

Getting the 100k crystals in the roulette allows you to buy the extend, which is a huge advantage.

Hate the pinwheels in level 4  :badmood:

If by extend you mean an extra life, that's not much of an advantage for me. Makes no difference if I lose 3 or 4 lives on round 4  :(

Edit : The 100,000 crystals usually don't help me much either, because most of the time I'm dead before I can spend them. The worst game yet saw me having 175,000 crystals and then dying.

147,640. Finally got to the round 4 boss. No idea how to beat that sucker without extra weapons. Shot him with the standard weapon for 5-10 minutes, lost 3 lives and the game.

He probably was referring to the last boss of level 6, which is a boss rush stage. It's a new boss so it should be the last one of that stage. Frickin lazors
