Newbie Question - Ultimarc Ultimate IO LED Power Supply
« on: August 08, 2015, 11:07:01 am »
Forgive this newbie question - I've learned so much from this forum, but I'm at a point where I need to ask for help.

I have installed an Ulimarc IPAC Ultimate I/O.  I have a large 4 player panel.

The Ultimate comes with a cord to connect to a spare hard drive power connector
(same type of cord seen here:  http://ultimarc.com/pacled64.html)

Unfortunately, my PC doesn't seem to have this type of connection.  I'm using an older Dell Inspiron 530s slim desktop and I don't see any power connection points that match this type of connector (I could be missing it, but I've examined all of the connections coming off of the power supply and don't see anything remotely similar).  The hard drive in the machine isn't powered by a similar connection (SATA power?)

What are some other options to power the LED part of the IPAC?  I think the lights are the last bit I need to complete to get the control panel finished.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

You will probably need a sata > Molex adaptor... if you have spare sata power.. or a power splitter... newegg or amazon should have what you need.
