2ND Player Torn on Flip
« on: August 07, 2015, 11:41:27 pm »
I'm going through the games on my cocktail and setting them all for cocktail for flipping for player 2.
most work great but on a couple I've noticed that player 2 screen gets cut weird so it starts in the middle of the screen.
anyone know if there is a fix for this?
thanks

attached is a screenshot from Nibbler with this issue. Other games I've noticed with the issue are Pengo & Galaga

I wasn't able to reproduce this problem. What MAME version are you using, and are you using any artwork files for those games?

I'm using 136 and no art files for the game.
I'm planning on trying a later version anyway so maybe that'll take care of it

If I'm not mistaken, I think that was a bug in a couple of games in MAME. I seem to recall BurgerTime doing something similar to me. Try a later version.

I noticed the same thing on Mr. Do last night on my cocktail - 164, 64 bit.  Haven't played it enough to figure out if it's every time, or just a one-off bug.  I'll playtest more tonight if I get a chance.

Looks like that broke in 153, but I don't see a report on Mametesters.org. Other regressions with flipping seem to have been fixed quickly, so they can probably get it straightened out if you let them know.
