ipac and volume, power, etc. controls
« on: August 06, 2015, 01:46:29 am »
I know the newer ipac 2015 boards will control volume, power, etc.  I have a board i got in 2014, would a firmware upgrade offer these features?  If so, where can I download the firmware file, spent over an hour on ultimark and got the U Config but not the actual firmware file.  Controlling volume is key, could install regular computer speakers and control the volume through ipac instead of a separate amp.

Thanks.

Yes volume control works fine. I have my son's set to the 4th button for volume down, and 6th one for volume up when in shift (holding down first player start) mode. Works out rather well. Esc, Tab & Reset are all mapped to the shift function too..

Latest firmware can be found here: http://ultimarc.com/download.html

But NOTE: Attemting to upgrade a pre-2015 board with this firmware will render it inoperable.

As I mentioned I bought my board in 2014, the download page is for 2015, the legacy page has no firmware.  What's confusing is the original, older WinIPAC software lists volume and power as possible assignments, they just don't work.  I have no idea where a current firmware file would be for pre 2015 boards.  I'd hate to have to pay for another board.
